Wow - Las Vegas ... we have just arrived home from a whirlwind 2 weeks in the USA. While there we attended the Arabian Breeders World Cup at the South Point Casino. We had a fabulous time, saw some amazing horses, and meet some wonderful fellow Arabian breeders. We had such a fun time we are already planning our return in 2009.
While in the US, we visited a number of farms, including Wayne Newtons Aramus Arabians, Silver Maple Farm,
Omel Arabians, Gallun Farms, Pacifica, Varian Arabians & Rancho Balychano.

Post Equine Influenza ... The outbreak of Equine Influenza in Australia had a dramatic effect for us for many reason. Our farm was in one of the early affected areas in Queensland, and all our horses were affected. We had a very scary situation with D'Amors Silver Sasha having foaling complications, and due to the total ban of horse movement, had an emergency cesarean in our show arena. She has since recovered without any side affects and will return to the show ring this season. We also lost two of our mares - Charaway Madonna (Wollongbar Romulus x Vet School Madam) & D'Amors Shakari-Khan (SK Shakla Khan x Shakista) due to EI related illnesses.
